Mahakali Temple Complex – Chandrapur

Mahakali Temple – located in Chandrapur district in Maharashtra has a very high religious value & also is an heritage site. The government of Maharashtra i.e. local public works department (PWD) proposed to develop & beautify the surrounding of the temple complex. This comprised of lodging facility for devotees, museum, cultural centre, shops, toilet blocks, main entrance gate. The design revolves around the classical elements of the temple so that the overall temple complex looks homogenous. A huge 80feet high statue of Mahakali Godess is a major design feature of the project.
